Default Got a cold steel military shovel

https://www.sworddemon.com/p-1704-co...ry-shovel.aspx

Just got it in the mail, going to sharpen it up. Plan to carry it for back country
skiing and maybe hiking snow shoeing and so on, during the snowy winter
months.

I plan to be light so I will have a wave multiple tool and this shovel with me,
as to be the only cutting tools that I will have. The shovel doing multiple usage,
as snow, dirt, shovel and a chopping tool when needed. Also maybe to dig
out punk wood if find downed log with dry punk wood inside.

Any with experience and thoughts? Tips?

Thanks

Dan
