Again, even these studies only say that silver when used in matrix as things like filters, linings, etc. are useful in inhibiting bacterial growth, which is not in contention. Even the in-vitro (pre-natal animal studies) were not shown to have anti-VIRAL effectiveness, which is different than anti-bacterial and is necessary to have any use against the Flu, Swine or otherwise. Again, people are free to try whatever they wish to make them feel better, but I have generally found that most "studies" are either on food-contacting silver in resin, like a water filter unit, or they are "medical" studies that are inconclusive or are presented only by sites and doctors that are selling colloidal silver materials. I don't find that type of propoganda persuasive. It's like Pfizer saying that one of their drugs, tested only by their doctors, is the only effective treatment for a disease. If you can't get that verified in a completely independant study, from an incorruptable source that has nothing to do with Pfizer or the drug industry, or the only statement to that effect is in a PR piece put OUT by Pfizer, then it's essentially worthless. You can't believe things that support someone's position that were either generated by them and their industry "pet" doctors, or in studies that were paid for by that industry. Only independant, scientific methodology is useful in determining safety and effectiveness of medical claims. Anything else is playing a dangerous game. That isn't just about Silver, that's anything, whether it is "legitimate" like the H1N1 vaccines, or homeopathic/herbal/natural treatments and products. Anything that you are putting into your body or using to treat a medical condition should be completely studied and approved in independant testing by reputable agencies FOR the use you are planning for the product. Otherwise, it's russian roulette.

I agree but everyone is suspect to be on the payroll, everyone, that is
the real world that we live in. So you can sit and do nothing or do something.
The above studies I gave one from Brigham Young and one from Texas University.
As for anti Virus studies I have not found any yet, that is to
say they do not exist from some respectable university.
I did see a counter point in my searching, I don't have the link. That
Colloidal silver does not work effectively on all forms of bacterial caused illness.
Something good to know.
As for Russian Roulette, we all make our own choices but there are no
normal medical treatments that I know of that work against a viral illness.
I just did another search another cited study.
Colloidal Silver versus Swine Flu
Of course need to dig up the actual study and read it.

Abstract
“The interaction of nanoparticles with biomolecules and microorganisms is an expanding field of research. Within this field, an area that has been largely unexplored is the interaction of metal nanoparticles with viruses.
In this work, we demonstrate that silver nanoparticles undergo a size-dependent interaction with HIV-1, with nanoparticles exclusively in the range of 1-10 nm attached to the virus.
The regular spatial arrangement of the attached nanoparticles, the center-to-center distance between nanoparticles, and the fact that the exposed sulfur-bearing residues of the glycoprotein knobs would be attractive sites for nanoparticle interaction suggest that silver nanoparticles interact with the HIV-1 virus via preferential binding to the gp120 glycoprotein knobs.
Due to this interaction, silver nanoparticles inhibit the virus from binding to host cells, as demonstrated in vitro.”
While silver’s well-known toxicity to a wide range of bacterial and fungal pathogens has been thoroughly documented in previous research by many leading research facilities, this study takes the previous research to a whole new level.
For the first time, the long-proven antimicrobial properties of silver nanoparticles were applied to a highly infectious form of virus with no known cure. And the interaction between the metallic particles, the virus and the cells were studied.
