I wear a Bianchi gunfighter also, Great, EDW. I recently bought a Riggers belt from Mac, Condor. I've been wearing it bowhunting and it works as a safety harness for me with a carabiner and rope. The only drawback is that it takes big belt loops to accommodate the riggers belt.

I've ordered a Filson double thick 1"1/4", they are pricey but you will have it for life. Provided you don't grow out of it. (he he).
