Default Vibram Five Fingers

I think I just found the footwear of my wilderness dreams!!! LOL I've known about Vibram's Five Fingers for a couple of years just about, but just tonight, I noticed they have a new rugged version called the KSO Trek.

Yeah, they seem expensive at first blush, but consider the alternative of having to make or buy your own dang moccasins! These slippers will probably last longer than 30 pair of thick skinned moccasins, in the street or the bush!!! In addition to being 30 times more comfortable too!!!

Whatchya think? Ehh? EEEEHHHHH???

OOOOOOOOOO!! I must have!!!
One of my twin girls has socks like this and she says they are the most comfortable she's ever had!

These look like they would beat my Teva sandals in comfort and traction and the price, for the apparent quality, doesn't seem bad at all!

Thanks for the link, Mate!!!

Remember to shop around!!! Also, don't forget to accessorize!!!! LOL You can get a small brown backpack or boonie cap to bring everything together... to accentuate your nature bonding attire by aesthetically complimenting your polar extremities LOL HAHAHHA

I got a pair last year after seeing two customers wearing them. They do take a little while to get use. They are lite, comfortable and they have real good traction. I hardly ever wear shoes except in public and they are as close to bare foot as you can get and they offer good protection. They are pricey but I thought the about my Keens sandles too and I have worn those almost every day for 5 years now so I hope I get the same life out of my five fingers. You do get a lot of stange looks when you are wearing them. I heard 1 older women tell her friend" look at his feet they are so filthy they are black and you think the store would throw him out with now shoes"

HAHAHA, come on now, be serious! Could you imagine though... if they actually made them, with same quality and such, but they had the top look like cave man feet with crooked/chipped, dirty toe nails, or like hairy man beast feet? LOL Now THAT would be cool to wear out in the woods!!!

i have had my 5 fingers for about 2 years now and after a run through the washing machine they look as good as new, the soles are really hard wearing but i only wear mine out in the bush or for driving (for which they are great)

some advice i can give to anyone wanting a pair of these shoes is try before buying, they are ment to be a snug fit and your usual shoe size is prolly too big, try half to a full size smaller also buy the socks to go with them, they make the difference between a couple of hours wear to all day wear.

they are also excellent for rock fishing and generally messing about on the shoreline as they wont drag you down if they get wet like normal boots can but it does wear the sole quicker.

What if you step on sharp rocks? Glass? Nails? This is a strictly wilderness only footwear correct? Shouldn't be warn in an urban setting? And there's no ankle support is this right as well? What environments would these be ideal for? They look like plastic feet coverings haha, I've never seen anything like it before.
