any decent contact adheisive will do, i repair my motorcycle gloves the same way. get another piece of leather approx the same colour and flexibility (or even some buckskin) and glue it as a patch over the area, if you use thin enough leather it will still be flexable enough without compromising the useability of the glove

I would take a small piece of thin leather and glue it (as a patch) with contact cement to the inside of the finger. I’ve fixed gloves and rain pants this way. The contact cement is rubbery, so it doesn’t compromise the fit / comfort. It won’t necessarily hold forever, but it’s easy to re-repair and it is waterproof.

Thanks for the suggestions. It's more for sentimental reasons than anything else. I've got plenty of other working type gloves but it seems like these have always been around.
