technically possibly
What we need to do is collect all the combustible plastics and save them until the next ice age. We could burn the rubbish for heat. The release of the extra CO2 would also warm the global climate and bring an early end to a natural cycle of icing that has repeated itself perhaps five hundred times in the last million years. Problem solved.
Or better yet we could put it all in a big dump somewhere in the north Pacific. Our great great great great grandchildren could go back and dredge it up in 2150 after the last of the oil is gone. We could use it as raw materials for plastics. In a world on no oil, waste plastics will be as valuable as pure gold.
A few seals tangled in a Miller lite packaging is a small investment to make to insure the future wealth of our children.
