Just wondering about all this global warming stuff I read and hear. I believe that this is just a natural cycle of the earth. After all, I read somewhere that the superminds can trace back at least 4 iceages. I assume that there were periods of global warming between those ice ages. Wondering where the floralcarbons ect were that caused those times of global warming???

Personally I believe that one of the easiest ways go get rich and stay rich is to convince as large a segment of the population as possible that some crisis is about to fall, and you are working on a sure cure for the situation, convince people that they will all die without your product and you will find the golden goose.

The "greenhouse gas" involved once the ice ages began to abate and the world rapidly warmed was methane, from the trapped gasses of all of the bio-matter from the previous age, finally being freed from it's icy prisons in ancient lakes, swamps, deep meadows and former forests, lying for millenia under miles of glaciers and slowly rotting, unable to vent to the atmosphere until it all happens at once.

It's funny how all through the 70's, the big environmental uber-crisis that was talked about was a NEW ice age. Then it was the loss of the Ozone Layer (hear about that anymore? Everyone was on that bandwagon for a long time over the 80s and 90s!). Then it was the "fact" of global warming. I still have trouble with any theory that takes measurements in fractions of a degree, using the most advanced equipment we can build today, and then try to merge that with "mean averages" or "ship's logs" or "weather science experiments" drawn from hundreds of years of observations by people with NO WHERE NEAR our technological capability. Saying we are 1 or 2 degrees higher than 100 years ago presumes that we actually KNOW those measurements weren't 1 or 2 degrees OFF because of their primitive thermometers.

Now we are talking about "climate change". Which is just leading us back to the loss of the Thermal Conveyer in the Atlantic from the influx of melting cold, fresh glacial waters affecting salinity and temperatures, thus stopping the Gulf Stream and it's polar warming effect. Once that stops, regardless of the air temps, the world will start sliding into another, inevitable, ice age. So we have come full circle back to the fears of the 70's. LOL

exactly what i have been saying for years, if you look closely at the impacts of global warming it naturally leads to drastic climactic cooling and in a very rapid time frame at that, much quicker than it took to warm up infact.

after 1 year of the gulf stream stopping due to increased fresh water into the oceans you would have permanent snow down to the 49th parallel and it would get worse from their.

what we would end up with is 2 super arctic regions and a belt of dry arrid land between along the equator as the majority of the earths water is frozen

Well I dont understand all the science behind Global warming but I can tell you this:
* We have had snow on a beach in a temperate area that has never in recorded history had snow before
* We have had two thunderstorms in the last two days that have caused significant damage including thunder that blew out house windows and damaged underground water mains, lightening that caused several power outages (normal for some of you guys I know) and fires.
* Tornado's in the last 10 years in a country that had never known tornado's
* Significant increases in the number of malinoma's probably due to the massive hole in the ozone that is directly above us (courtesy of the industrialised world...cheers for that). By the way we re also experiencing increases in cataracts... I wonder if thats linked?

As I said I dont know if this is global warming or part of a natural cycle as like all of you I havent been around long enough to know the difference (lol) but it has me worried.

Blaming us for the warming, Crap! LIke they can measure the gases and say, " we're pumping this out and the earths warming! stop this and this".I don't believe we are causing any warming.(although we are useing up our resources)

I think some of the global warming is caused by us people being stupid leaving stuff on all night driving a car to work when its only 3/4 mile etc.
