listening to world service today and there was our guy trying to be mr eco warrior 2009 followed by the statistics of per capita co2 output

US 20 tons
Europe 10 tons
Me 6 tons
China 5 tons
Africa 1 ton

now mine is low because I dont have or drive a car and the automobile usage has a big effect on the rest of the figures.

so rather than have a go at 5 litre gas guzzlers which are 2-4 times the world average sized car so its pretty obvious, what I'm curious at is if you bulldozed the out of town malls and the 4 hours drives to get there to rebuild the small town shops etc... what kind of effect do you think it would have to your vehicle use?

Great Post! I personally do not frequent malls. I shop very close to home with small business owners so it would not affect anything on my part. The furthest I go is about 1/2 mile for just about everything I need. I do think bulldozing the malls is a great idea tho. Hehehe
