I saw that the Survival Topics website article that Ron wrote about water boiling for sterilization was quoted on the Bush Buddy website. Go Ron!

Search sportsmansguide.com they have a small fold able wood burning stove that works great. I have used a couple of them for years, there a little on the heavy side but not to bad.

I have several Swedish Army Mess Kits and the carrier for the pots doubles as a stove. It will take hexamine, alcohol stoves, or wood chips. I have not seen many references for this kit but if you hit YouTube and search Swedish Mess Kit you will get all the information you need. If you want to buy one, forget eBay, go to Cheaper Than Dirt - America's Ultimate Shooting Sports Discounter.

I'm working on my own home-made interpretation of the Bush Buddy (which sells for $100!!). I've almost got it, I think. Just need one more can of soup.

Default Rocket Stove

A very clever stove and worth the money ($40 plus shipping) for emergency home use. I am surrounded by pine and oak trees and could cook for decades on what falls into my back yard. This is a great charity, too. So far, I own two propane stoves, two Coleman (a single and a double burner) stoves, three Swedish mess kits with Trangia Stoves, a Coleman butane/propane stove, and a couple of home made coke can stoves. Do do I need another stove? Uh huh.
