Default Got my H1N1 vaccination.

Just a FYI about it as I said a while back would post when I got it.

I work at a small hospital around critical care patients so last night at work I got my H1N1 influenza shot in the right deltoid in the ER by the nursing supervisor of the hospital. Same size needle as regular influenza shot, less painful then the regular flu shot in the left deltoid I got last week.

It's been 12 hours and everything is normal to me...no abnormal reactions, swelling, redness, fever, pain(travelling or otherwise), etc.

Took my vital signs twice throughout the night to see how they where and everything was normal. (On average) Temp 98.5, Pulse 64, Resperations 15, Blood Pressure 114/72, O2 Saturation 100% both times.

Found it not to be a problem whatsoever in fact the regular influenza shot is more painful. No side effects at all with either.

Make sure if you get it you relax your arm completely down by your side. Stiff muscles will cause black and blues and more pain then needed. Also whoever is giving you the shot make sure there giving it high on the deltoid/shoulder. If it's to low it will be painful....this goes for any flu shot you ever get.

Hope this was useful.

My wife is an RN and she just got hers this week also, with no side effects. Like a lot of care givers and service people the N1H1 shot was mandatory for her.

Hope all goes well for you!

Anytime I've had a flu shot I've gotten sick. And, even though they say it's not really the flu it feels just as bad. I'll catch my flu the old fashioned way! Plus, I don't like the word "experimental" That they kept using when describing it.

I am bit worried too, as development of vaccine was pushed through in a hurry.

Everything might be OK, but if not?

Hope there's no side effects alpine. They have been reported.(this probably doesn't make anyone feel better about geting it) (it's a 1-in-a-1,000,000 chance though)

Snowshoe sure will. Still feeling perfectly fine after over 24 hours and vital signs are normal.

I had both the seasonal flushot and the H1N1 shot and had no adverse reactions what so ever. And no pain from either shot either.

Just watching this is enough for me to not get any kind of shot. I wouldn't anyway but I don't trust them not for one second!
You go ahead and do what you want as for me, well, I'll take my chances! I think I'd rather die than go through life like that!
