Does anyone carry hand sanitzer in their pack? I use it for cleaning my spork , pots , ect. But could one use it for a quick washin (when itīs just a pain to shower(too cold) between the legs and on the feet without any ill effects?

I use it at work a lot on my hands arms, face, but I'd suggest against using down there in the public region. Even if you get it completely dry, the least amount of sweat will make the area gunky again & give you a nasty heat rash.

I'd use it if I had nothing else and wasn't feeling quite so fresh.
South of the equator would require a good rinse.

Yeah, I've had that experience. I don't recommend it anywhere you are chaffed, chapped or red. Underarms, groin, the "plumber's canyon", or anywhere else where the skin may be sensitive would be REALLY bad to put concentrated ethyl alcohol on the area. It stings like hell, and feels like liquid fire. I've emptied a clip-on Alcohol gel bottle, rinsed it out completely, and refilled it with the anti-bacterial liquid soap (actually the one I am carrying now has Ivory dish soap. Great for shampoo, washing, and laundry). That or a Wet-nap for those sensitive areas.

Thanks for the suggestions! I have used it on my feet before, but never between the legs, I was afraid to try. Now my fears are confirmed

glycerine soap and a small flannel does my needs. I carry sanitiser in my fak just because its expected now.

not good for crotch rot but the alcohol will help to dry out the damaged tissue and encourage it to heal. neat tea tree has a similar painfull effect.

even works as a fire starter if you get the right stuff

I have no idea what ralgex spray is and we dont have ticks here.
But there was a wee trick we used to do to the boys who annoyed us at boarding school....we'd sneak into their dorms while they were at dinner and put toothpaste in their daks (opps sorry...undies...underpants).....hehehehe.

roger, I think alcohol does a great job on body (odor areas) to keep fresh when you can't really wash up. I always have some in EDC
