So if I'm reading your short story accurately, they are edible in theory, but not something you'd really want to eat unless you had to....lol Still good to know, though. There are a lot of things I'd likely puke up if I were to try to eat them now that, if in a SHTF scenario, I'm sure I could force myself to hold down and may even be able to "learn" to like over time. Here's knocking on wood that I can utilize all of my abilities to avoid having to "learn" to like nasty things in order to survive, though.
