This flashlight is 90 lumen's for 60 minutes then 60 minutes of reserve power, for a total of 120 minutes of light. After that you must plug it in to charge it, either with household power or a car charger. To me it is not worth half what they are asking for it. It is cool not needing batteries but whats the difference if you have to charge it just like you would batteries and if you are out in the wilderness it is easy to Carry extra batteries and you would have no way to charge your $170.00 flashlight unless you had a real good solar set up.

I fully understand $170 for anything is a lot of money, but, as a fan of the Surefire flashlights, I can tell you, hold on before you pass judgement. My nephew was the same, said $100 was crazy for a flashlight, until he saw the Surefire pierce the darkness....seriously, the light is so white and is nothing like the cheapie flashlights with the dingy yellow light at the center of the beam, and even less clear light at it`s edges. A flashlight is a tool, and we know that we want the best tool we can afford for each application. Each tool we acquire may save our lives. |

+1 hunter 480, a good flashlight is a valuable tool! I'm a flashlight nuts, and after many years, it's hard to find better than Fenix (for the price) For half the price of a surefire you got the same quality, included in the price you got a holster, lanyard, two spare o-rings and a rubber switch boot! The following models have strobe mode wich is great for defense scenario and SOS mode. Fenix LD10 | Fenix LED Flashlights | Custom Knives | EDC Tactical Gear | Flash Lights 120 lumens with a single AA batery, the fenix LD20 run with 2 AA, give you 180 lumens and is the same size as a mini maglite (2 AA) Fenix LD20 | Fenix LED Flashlights | Custom Knives | EDC Tactical Gear | Flash Lights Last edited by leystate; 10-13-2009 at 05:03. |

I second the Mag. Used them for many years and my 2 AA mini lasted me forever. I love the D cells too, not just because of the illumination, which I've yet to see beat, but also that thing is a tank in your hand. I have actually seen Martial Arts instructors use it in classes for self-defense. |

While i was working nights we used to have some cops walking a beat by our plant. One night they got a call, when they got back the six d cell maglight was bent almost to a 90* angle. They said they had a bit of trouble with a drunk wouldn't stop resisting arrest..........
