I picked up a dandy one back in the spring at Walmart. It is made for use on campfires and it does a great job. I got it in the sporting goods section.

These are good, no plastic near the flame, and they come in 14 to 36 cup sizes from Cabela's. Cabela's Stainless Steel High Temp Coffee Pot

That 'Granny ware' thing they have at chinamart is okay. You can also look around at garage sales, 'antique' shops, even Salvation Army stores for inexpensive metal percolators that have lasted for years. I've found that they tend to make better coffee (albeit slower) anyhow. Personally, I figured out how to make one out of clay (hobbyist potter) that works like a charm and can be reproduced at will.

Great one is available from Lehman's Non electric catalogue. Used it on our wood stove all the time. Comes in blue and red if I remember.

Hi Kevin and to all who learn and share their knowledge here, I am new to “bush craft/survival training etc. I have a son involved in scouting and I am learning on the fly. I will drop in as time allows. I will probably “Lurk” in the background and try to soak it all in. Thanks in advance for all I glean from those posting in this place, Opie |
