Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, good idea! I wonder if I were to take some of that garden wire and scent the trap with something like home made walnut or almond butter, not the commercial stuff, how that would work. Thinking I'm going to have to get some of that and come Spring, see what I can trap. Thanks for the idea |

I use 7 strand copper fishing line. It is rated for 40 pounds and it is real easy to work with. After you fix your trip wire, you can bend it and shape it to whatever you desire.

It will probably work pretty well. Personally, I carry aircraft cable snares with me. They have a lock to prevent the loop from backing off and are light enough to carry a half dozen and never notice the weight.
