Going out tomorrow with my brush gun in the swamps by my house. I have a doe permit this year so fingers crossed that I my path crosses that of a deer. I would love to hunt all day but I work at noon If no deer then I will just take a morning nap under a blow down.

Modern gun season opened in Louisiana today, but with all the rain the stand my son & I hunt from was in 11 inches of water. We hunted about 3 hours and called it quits, maybe the water will fall out a little by tomorrow.

Still early archery season here in Indiana, but our firearms season opens November 14 this season. I`ll be off work the entire 2 weeks, hunting everyday.

What do you mean "minic meat"? I've just got my first hunting license this year; in all likelihood I'll not get out though. I've only tried venison once. I'm a meat eater so there's not much I don't like - love to try some venison jerky recipes some day!

Deer Jerky is GREAT! I like a good steak(Venison)I met "Mince Meat" sorry wife told me the right spelling LOL. "mince meat " makes a great pie I'll send you a recipe for it. I 'll post for all!!
