Hey there snowshoe...if you've already made 30 posts, then it seems you ARE a member. Are you trying to send a private message to someone? If yes, then look up in the upper-right quadrant of the screen, where it says "Welcome, snowshoe67." Right below that is a link that says "private messages." Click on that link and that will take you to the message section. Then, look over on the left side of the screen and click on the link that says something like "create a new message." Click on that, and then take it away.

I hope that helps, at least a bit. Good luck!

Just wondering why I can't get a picture to come up with my posts? Any ideas?

Hey there Cabinfever!

What kind of photo addition are you trying to make? Are you trying to put up an avatar that will show up on all your posts? Or, are you trying to attach a photo to the body of a specific, individual post, show-and-tell style?

If you want to just put a photo into the body of a specific post, scroll down below the area in which you are typing your post and you will see a button called "manage attachments." Click on that button and it will take you to another window in which you'll be able to add up to 5 photos to an individual post. I use .jpg photo files and it works well...HOWEVER...you will have to resize your photos to these parameters:

Max file size = 97.7KB
Max photo height = 800 pixels
Max photo width = 800 pixels

The photo file has to meet ALL these parameters, or it won't load.

After you have your photo resized, in the attachment window, click on the "browse" button. Then, find your photo file on your computer, select it, and then click "upload." Touchdown!

Hope that helps!

I never tried it that way. I always just clicked on the insert image icon that looks like a scenic picture of a moutain peak with the sun overhead up above this window. How do I resize photo's?

Thanks TJ, you are always helpful.

Howdy LR,

You need some kind of photo-editing software. Actually Microsoft Office Picture manager will do it. Open a photo file, click on the "edit" icon, and one of the options in the window along the right side is "resize." Just shrink it down to meet the parameters mentioned above, and save it with a different name.

Oh DUH [smacks forehead!], in that case I have done that LOL I forgot. I think what I meant was, that I never resized them here (that is what I thought you meant... without thinking LOL).

Thanks again.
