I have only shot "Lead" out of my 45-70 for year's.Only as of late have I been thinking of Jacketed SP & HP bullet's.My basic meat load is 11.5-12.5 grain's of Hodgen's Unique behind a 355/405 grain cast bullet with gas check.Plant's Deer first time every time that is if I do my part correctly....H&R Handy Rifle or my H&R 1871 Buffalo Classic What is your favorite Bullet & Powder, Accuracy load for jacketed bullet's.

Hey shadowwodahs, thanks for the tiny bullet..lol This spring when the weather gets better, would you be interested in coming to Chattanooga for a day at the range? I'm
a member at the Chattanooga Rifle Club and would be more than happy to have 45/70
day or whatever you would what to shoot. On our plinking range we can shot up to
155 mm howitzer, if available. Look up the club online if you are interested and it
will give you an idea of what you may want to shoot. Thanks, again for the bullet.
