Just thought I would see if any of you could help with this. I was trying to find out how one could get access to topographical maps and possibly either copy or print them out. There's a hitch tho...FREE. I know for Google Maps you can click on Terrain to see a topo map of the area, and I know you could print those out as well, but I was curious if there was possibly another source that I don't know about. Is it possible to go to libraries or some other public office and borrow/copy topo maps? Everything I have seen they want you to buy them, which is fine...if you have money

Interesting site, WC...seems like a fair deal if you're doing a lot of traveling or require a variety of maps for any reason. When printing out whatever you've downloaded, does it print out okay on regular size paper with good definition to the maps? Or are you printing several pages and taping them together?

Basically, its 1. Build your map any way you like it. 2. Add options like lamination and such 3 choose what size 4 Hit the order button. 5. They print it and send it to you FAST. I use them all the time. WC

| USGS is free and you can download and print... But... Also worth noting is Offroute.com as you can build a seamless custom map and haev it printed on waterproof paper for around $12 or so. HTH
