Talking Tent-cot

Hello Survivalist,

I recently purchased one of these TENT-COT from the website BELOW. These tents are awsome. I do recommend a few modifications.
one add two straps to the carry on case to turn it into a yukon instead of the over one shoulder carry on.
and i Added some Gamiets to hange stuff off the two stourge sacks inside i'll try to post pic later.

That looks like an interesting thing to have if you didn't have to carry it too far. It's a bit bulky for what I prefer to do, but a nice concept.

While it may seem pretty cool, it is pretty useless in my eyes. If I am bugging out with my vehicle, I can sleep in it. If I am bugging out on foot, it is too much extra weight for a luxury. If I am bugging out... I am headed to my BOL, which has a real bed in it

If I ever take a trip through the jungles of South America, I might want it to keep myself above the insects crawling on the jungle floor, and to keep out the skeeters, but then again there are other ways to do that without lugging around the 20lbs.

I CAN see it useful in a FEMA camp where space is a premium. For single persons, this would take up a lot less room that a normal dome tent. But, I don't want to be in one of those - that is why I have here.

All the State Protective Security Advisors from DHS are issued one of these with their "survival kits" which consist of 2 very large pelican cases loaded to 50lbs each of stuff including Sat phones and chem gear. All this resides in the large issued SUV's.

Carlos, I really like this. I do a lot of lone wolf camping with just my dog and the oversize one would do us great! I love this, keeps me from having to pack a tent when we're car camping!!! If I'm traveling I can pull off some road somewhere and set it up and hide it right beside the car. Great idea. Thanks

This would be great for "car camping", and I would think it would be equally great for long distance canoeing.

And yet another thing is added to my "things to buy when I have a chance".

I hear what the others are saying about weight. Fair enough in a full on race for safety. I would only get this for recreational use and that being the case, I can see real benefit for car camping or night fishing.

Not too cheap, but then didn't think it would be. Ireland will always require the rainsheet !

So, yeah, interesting bit of kit. Maybe Mrs. Rayzerm would sign up for the double version ?!?!?!
