Default Cabin Cave

Stumbled across this and I really like the idea for both coolness in the summer and heat in the winter. needs to be for an area you will stay for a while but looks worth it enjoy. list improvements if you think of any or other sites that show similar construction. Really I like just finding a cave and clsong up the entrance even better.

This seems like a REALLY good idea. Thanks for posting it. Now I am presently racking my brain trying to think of how I can find the money to purchase land and all the supplies I would like to have in my man-cabin-cave...

I would LOVE to be able to build one of those!

In Australia there is a mining town called Coober Pedy that is so hot they build all their houses underground.
Read the first part of the 'overview'.

The site was great, the idea better. Not a lot different from any earth sheltered home but the plans and detail make this seem doable. Thanks!

I saw that mentioned on some TV show... I think it was about unusual houses. Pretty cool - too bad there isn't much food available around there so it wouldn't be a good BOL.

Yeah, quite a hostile environment. Top idea though if you have a property with trees that could be used.
