Default Signal Mirrors

So how many here have a signal mirror with their kit?

I have some that were made by TOPS Knives for my kits. And I have 2 from CountyComm that are made of Lexan and come with a nylon case that are carried in my BOB and one in my jacket. I also have a large glass signal mirror that I found at a flea market years ago. 4x5 mirror.

I have one in my pocket survival kit. It is unbreakable, but I keep it in my kit for just in case. Everyone should have a pocket size signal mirror and practice using it.

I keep 2, both unbreakable, one metal and one lexan. I have also found them handy to check areas you can't see for tick and leech bites, and to do hygene like shaving, toothbrushing, and grooming. Also, I have gotten things in my eye more than once and been glad to have one of these to look in and get the offending item out (often seeds, bugs, or ashes). Lots of reasons to carry a signal mirror other than the obvious.

I use mine (for now) to help me shave the back of my head!

I HAD a great 4X6 lexan mirror in my GHB. My wife found it and liked it so much its now part of her make-up-kit.
I hate when that happens.........

Hello there Gage!

Make a "C" shape with one hand (finger & thumb with your target in sight. Rock the mirror up & down / side to side so your shining through your finger & thumb.

If your aiming at a plane you can not see aim ahead of the sound. In that case the plane is ahead of where you think it is.

RR.

BTW Gage, There are no Ego's here. No better site out there with nicer people. Ask away with questions!
