I am simply flabbergasted. Ron, I don't know what to say or how to thank you, not only for providing this place for us to meet and share knowledge, experiences, questions and information, but for being such a benevolent "father" to all of us, even though you're not necessarily older than all of your members. There's something to be said about the nature and character of a man whose presence is felt on every thread on this forum whether you happen to participate in the dialog or not. We all seem to know that you're there, anyway. It's funny...we all almost seem afraid that the "other shoe" is going to drop whenever there's any perception that a conversation might be heading down a path that could be interpreted as disrespectful to the nature of what you've made possible here, and you can almost feel the frenzy to protect it. That says a lot, as well. Somehow, the words "thank you" just don't seem quite adequate, but sometimes the English language falls a little short. This is one of those times, but I'll say it anyway. Thank you.

well, it's hard to follow the many words of gratitude that have already been written, but thanks for everything Ron. I first ran across this site looking for some info on a particular knife. I've always been into survival and bushcraft but had never found a very well put together site. This place greatly impressed me not only with that, but the people here have quickly become friends who are quick to share their knowledge. thanks guys. And thanks to you Ron for all you have done to make this site possible.

Ron I............I really don't know what too say. I really don't know if there are any words powerful enough to describe your kindness. What I can say is that you are completely right when you say that in any emergency the anonymous factory's in china will most certainly not be at your back. But what I can also say of my own accord is that people like you ron, who give out so much and receive so little in return are the exact type of people that I would want to be with in any type of emergency. Youve created this website, lowered the price of your firesteels, and now are giving them out to active members. I am truly impressed. And not in the "I'm so proud of you" way more in the "Wow, I can't believe someone, anyone, would do this.." sort of way. Out of the things I could say to sum up this train of thought only three that are far from adequate for the occasion come to mind. Thank you Ron. And as thus it saddens me to say that as of this time I am in no position to accept your gift as receiving it would create more "problems" then I care to deal with. Though I wish you the best of luck in anything that may arise.....- Enigma

Ron your generosity and kindness will never cease to amaze me. Your steady upkeep and monitoring of this great site, that you came up with in the first place. Your ability to put up with a bunch of goons like us. The priceless advice you offer to us all. And genstures like this. I have no words. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Ron, God gives each of us a spiritual gift, I believe yours may be a leader/teacher and I would definately say that you are doing great works through this site. Survival isn't always the popular hobby or interest to have, some think your nuts others say your paranoid, but this site give us a chance to collaborate with other people who share each of our passions for being prepared. Thank you truly, and may God Bless your continued works Brad
