I believe it is tracking active members. The handful of losses we have taken since Ron started this site is minimal compared to 1000 folks who have joined, and as we see time and again, eventually can't contain themselves and begin posting rather than lurking! It's a great place, and is made so by a terrific host (Ron) and some unbelievably great people. I would like to extend a handshake to our 1000th member jimmie3rocks and a hearty welcome to everyone that has recently joined. You are what will make this place the finest Survival-Based website on the 'Net as time goes on, and I encourage all of our members and lurkers alike to participate and tell us your thoughts and stories. It is how we will ALL become better in our preparations and learn as much as possible. We are a COMMUNITY, as well as a FAMILY here, and we are always interested in learning from each other.

I am glad that we have reached the 1000 member mark on the website, but I feel that we have not got to the tip of the iceberg yet. I am proud to be affilliated with such a great group of people who all think alike and share the same values.
In order for us to continue growing, we must all continue to help each other out and give sound advice whenever we are asked.
I want to thank Ron for creating Survival Topics, and giving us all a place that we can call home. Thanks everyone for being my friend and for being there whenever I have a question.
