Nothing exactly in stone , yet. With the pending national healthcare looking, it`sw finally getting recognition that the central database the government wants to store all your personal medical records in, will give them unlimited access to all your physicians and medications being taken. That, atop the outcry over the VT shooter and his supposed issue with depression.....

If I see anything definitive, I`ll bring it to the site here.

It won't hert to ask/inquier of a Lawyer.

Should this prohibit you from bearing arms? If so, feel free to send me your guns.

You can bet there are people working hard to make it a felony for anyone to bear arms.
You know, even if I was taken in and put in jail for years just because I own guns, the first thing I would do when I got out was head to my SS (secret stash) and pull out atleast one handgun and a few boxes of rounds. I believe that all people have the right to carry anything that it's law enforcment or millitary can carry. I am not saying give us all a tank and a jet fighter (but I'd take it if you were offerin) but I do think that if the police, who really haven't had much more training then most of the "legal" gun owners here in America have, can carry a side arm or even an assualt rifle then why (if I am a legal gun owner) should I not have the same right?

you know, hear in Illinois you have to get a FOID card, pass a background check, wait for several days, and do a backflip just to hold a gun at the gun store. it is getting crazy.

Default Rights

There should be no conditions on rights. We either have them or we do not. I think this extends to people convicted of felonies who served their time and "paid their debt to society". Let them have a gun.

However if anyone uses a gun to commit a crime, they should spend a long time under the jail after the first episode. Repeat offenders should be fed to the hogs.

I would be far more comfortable seeing friends of mine who have been convicted of felonies carrying guns than some of these arrogant LEOs who burst into the wrong houses in drug raids and kill some innocent schmuck that reacts instinctively to men in black crashing down his front door. That happens all the time. So often in fact, an argument can be made that police should not be allowed to carry firearms.
