So, they want someone who can give people stupid advice, fake their own stunts, keep a safety crew in reserve off camera, take risks that would kill or injure most people if they copied them, and are mainly interested in ratings and hype over solid survival techniques and capabilities?

Sorry, can't think of anyone here that would be interested in doing something like that. Perhaps checking out those losers from Survivor! might yield someone who wants to pimp themselves out. I am sure that spending 30 days in the tropics, eating bugs and doing 'immunity challenges' while trying to jumpstart their modelling career should be enough to qualify someone for this kind of show.

these turn up quite often, I missed out on one last year which was genuine but badly done according to my mate who went on it instead of me.

I still cant find a copy of it anywhere. it was an obscure canadian prog called tv made me do this and they pitted boon who was classed as a mears fan against an american who was supposed to be a stroud buff.

Well I have a dog,and she minds better than my boys, but I don't think she is "trained" like they mean. I still think my idea is better than theirs. Untrained "Newbie" going to various schools. At least this way the viewers could really learn something beneficial.

I applied for one of these things that was looking for a blacksmith with a weapons and fabrication background. Well after all of the interviews I was told I was too old and not edgy enough, I was 40 at the time. What they really wanted was a young good looking guy to butt heads with everyone and be angry all the time. Well I had the good looking thing down stone cold but I could not master the angry butt heads part. Oh well I blew my shot at being a star.
