Man, can you imagine the carnage vs. coyotes & mountain lions? Don't worry girls, daddy won't do that to you :)

Ahhh Bob, I do love a man who makes me laugh!!! You're a hoot, my friend!

Well all jokes aside it does appear that he is a real casting agent. See This...
shaun hoff casting - Google Search
I Googled him and apparently he is legit. Even if his casting call, to us, is rather humorous. Still I think it would be better if they went around to different survival schools and did a "class" from each one. You know, something like "Surviving Disaster". Something you can learn something useful from. Not some Idiot doing foolish stuff. I know I would watch if they went to different survival schools and showed a "class" from each one. I might even buy the video, if it were done right.

That, my friend, scares me! If he is a true agent, then his methods are less than professional as far as I'm concerned.

I agree wholeheartedly that he should have gone to the various schools.

We, the viewing public, would be much better off with more like Cage and his tips because, to me, they are much more effective and realistic

I have Watched Bear do some somewhat good survival skills but he also
did and is doing a lot of foolish survival antics. It would be better to do
a show that is entertaining and showed good survival skills as these can
actually save lives.

The average person who gets in real trouble is the idiot gumby
that may have watched a few shows then gets lost in the woods wearing
his bikini underwear and a pack of lucky strikes and a lighter.

Hey wait I think I just came up with a theme for a survival show, who
wants to Volunteer!

You know I have a question, I have been learning about the fire bed and
that seems to me the ticket for comfortable survival. I wonder why neither
Bear or Les ever do this method of sleeping out, especially with a debris
shelter over it?

Both of them froze their butts off in the winter, where they could have
used this method. Or at least Les froze, as Bear did who knows what off
camera.

Mr, Producer Guy look at this.

Please put some guy like this on TV, he knows what he is doing you can figure
out a way to spice it up for ratings.

I saw a show where Les froze his butt off in a downed plane in Alaska in winter ,
I mean how many people are you going to kill off with shows like that?

Dan

The Firebed...
You know, I've always been intrigued with the firebed myself. I just finished writing Dave Wendell (hope that's spelled correctly), aka "BushcraftOnFire" on YouTube (YouTube - BushcraftOnFire's Channel) with the following letter:

Hi Dave,

I've voraciously watched every video that you've produced since I subscribed a few months ago. Very impressed.

I'd like to ask you if you'd be willing to go over the survival firebed. If you've already covered this topic, then forgive me -- I just wanted to learn some of the finer details in how to fashion one together properly.

I recently read the following article (The Firebed) by Ron Hood on what he does to avoid common problems that some make when making & using the firebed. I would really appreciate seeing the construction of one in video form while simultaneously getting your personal take on how to execute it properly.

Keep up the great work brother, I'm hooked!

Matt K (elpidi0526)

This was his response:

Matt...

I think that we can do that :) Please be patient.. as it probably won't be for a wee bit.. but it's on the agenda! Thanks so much for your comments and support!

Have a terrific Week Bro!

David

So stay tuned my man!
