 Casting real life Survivalist show!
*PLEASE DO NOT SEND A SUBMISSION IF YOU DONT NOT FIT THIS* Casting a real life Survivalist (Background checks will done – hiking in the local mountains or camping at a lake for days does not count, think Bear Gryles or Les Stroud.) , If you have a trained dog even better. Looking for someone just like Bear Grylls, Requirements are.. Great on-camera personality, MUST have Survival experience (i.e., formal survival training or first-hand experience surviving in extreme environments - must have REAL survival/wilderness background of at least 5 yrs); must have the ability/confidence to survive in the wilderness for a week.  |

I always find it interesting when these sort of requests pop up on forums. Sometimes they are accompanied with a detailed explanation of who they are, and what they are doing. Requests like this one leave just a wee bit of concern about the validity of the request.

OK OOK why not try a new approach Shaunhoffcasting. Like someone new to this, take them to different survival schools, let them actually learn something.Show the school and it's teaching/classes. Afterwards let the "host" go and get dropped off with some emergency equipment and see just how long they last or if they can get themselves out of it. Yeah it may sound similar to Les or Bear.... except for the schools. There is where the meat and potatoes lie. Your Viewers can actually learn something.

Shaun, Bear Grylls will probably end up killing himself trying to teach "survival" (apparently synonymous with doing incredibly dangerous stunts because he wants to show off). You do NOT want another Bear Grylls, he's probably caused the deaths of more people than he helped save. Teach real survival skills without all those fancy stunts that will kill people who aren't trained experts. Really, no one can practically swim through arctic waters and survive, don't teach them how to do it.
