Post What I Did today

Today I went to the surplus stor found a neat E-Tool foldes doun to fit in to a pouch that could be hooked to a belt or pack. Found a belt for ataching moel gear to, transfured my work gear to it. Plan to get another to make into a survivel utelaty belt.When I get it after I get payed and Have it set up I'll post photos. Made my first atampet at making a fire bow did somthing rong eather my spindel was not round enough or somting I did get smoke but no chery to start a fire So as the saing go's practus till you get it right.Glad I can start a fire with a firestill and striker alot easer.All so got a 100 feet of 550 G.I. chute cord . Hope all are doing well.

Sounds like a great day today, Jim! How big is the E-Tool? Is it trowel-size? Is it metal, or plastic?

Keep practicing that bow drill...you'll get it, eventually.

Seems to me you're adding some great gear to your preps and trying your best to use that bow drill. Great Job! You're right, practice does make perfect. Keep up the good work.

Smile E-Tool

E-Tool is Metal Approx. 9 1/2 bie 6 1/2 when folded and aprox. 1foot 11 in.long when exstended simaler to E-Tools ishued to are boys in Irack and Afganastan. Belt is 5.11 Tactical Series LBE BELt.

Good for you Jim! That's an important tool to have. TJ did a great video on Bowdrills. Just look for his post in this thread. I'll be using that when I do decide to make mine.
