Thanks for that link. I'm thinking the wood pallets are treated for waterproofing and may contain arsenic. I'd stick to actual trees I think. Maple yummy good. apple, cherry, lots of options around here.

Thanks for the thumbs up, y'all I did alot of hardwood and fruitwood cooking and smoking when I was an active Chef so charred wood is something I know a bit about. And I learned about charcoal as a remedy when I went to Medical school before Culinary. (Long story but I ended up getting very sick with my first bout of cancer so had to drop out end of my 4th yr.) I am what might be considered a professional student as I adore learning about many things which is why a site like this is a dream to me. |
