Default Auditions!!

In response to the thread "In a SHTF situation who would you take?"
I just can't decide and I've been thinking about this almost since it started. I think alright person A is number 1... Then I think but person B has skills in this... But C knows that... So I think you all can see my dilemma. I have decided that the only way to do this properly, would be to ask for "Resumé's . Please post as much as you think would qualify you without being overly verbose. Sorry CW, I know that severely crimps your style... Mine too.

I'll Start:
I am poco AKA Mel. I've studied survival since the 70's (off and on), My strengths are: Plants, shelter, fire, improvisation,Military background,Cooking Woodscraft.
My weaknesses are: Formal self defense training,Flint knapping,Primitive tools, Not as knowledgeable in First Aid as I could/should be.

Relevant experience(s) Homeless for a year+. Survived in wild, food gathering 3 days longest stint. Boat guide In Okefenokee Swamp 4+ years. Airborne Infantry 5 years 4 months, Regular Army 5 years. Hunted and fished. Owned and trained(ours only) horses 6 years.
About me: 49 y/o , English speaking, some knowledge of Italian and very little German. Slightly above average IQ (not enough to make that much of a difference) No formal training in any skills,Trade or otherwise(except military).

LOL, I don't know, POCO. Putting up my survival resume? Can't people just weed through all the nearly 4000 posts of mine to glean my particular skill sets? Laziness, I tell ya, laziness!

Do you have any idea how long it would take me to go through 4000 posts with all I've got going on!!! SHTF will have happened and be over before I'm halfway through just yours!!

I thank you for the inclusion.

I have trepedations about putting up too much personal information on what is a publicly viewed forum. However, I have a military background with the Army as a countersniper with battlefield experience, considerable military and civilian training and experience in survival situations (desert, arctic, jungle, temperate forest, sub-tropical swamp, and seaborne), EMT/Medic training and experience, a long history of hunting, fishing, camping and hiking in the Northern Wilderness of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, skydiving and rappelling, blacksmithing, whitesmithing, pottery, glassblowing and shaping, gardening, animal husbandry-dressing-butchering, basic handyman skills, woodworking, brewing and winemaking, cooking and baking, clothcraft, just starting to get acceptable results out of doing my own auto mechanics, plus a read library spanning over 19,000 books. Have I mentioned the fact that I have been studying survivalism since childhood, have a number of awards in archery, fencing, and marksmanship, and have used guns, bows, swords and combat blades since I was around 7 or 8. As I have stated before, while I have had the benefit of a variety of martial arts training, it is by no means my strongest suit. However, I have had to use what I DO know in the past and it hasn't failed me yet.

Hopefully that is a satisfactory amount of information without getting too much more descriptive.

Celticwarrior said he has 19,000 books that he has read. You could build a small house out of that many books. Wow, I think just that qualified him.

For what it's worth, I ALWAYS prefer to do the job nobody else wants to do, either due to it being grueling, disgusting or dangerous. I am silent for the most part, and I never complain, and I have a rugged disposition, but still working on my ability to identify plants (edible/medicinal), still learning tracking and animal signs and basic hunting procedures like skinning, dressing and all that comes with handling meat in the bush.

Last but not least, I will also be more than willing to take a bullet for someone who I thought was worthy enough to die for. A friend.

... Not to mention I was probably more than likely a feudal covert Japanese guerrilla warrior in a past life, considering my innate sense of severely thinking outside the paradigm box.

How's that for a resume?

PS

I was stationed at Ft. Bragg, and I jumped only three times with the Infantry. You guys are INSANE!!!! I was scared crapless with you guys pulling on the static line, and hootin' and hollerin' like a bunch of baboons in fatigues!!!

names dave, im 31, i currently live in kc missouri, im a subcontractor for the VA prosthetics department and i deal mainly in medical mobility(power wheel chairs, manual chairs, scooters and vehicle lifts, stairglides, platform elevators, ramping) and i also have experience/training in repair/calibration of most medical equipment. im also in training for seating specialist( figuring out the best seating system/style to accomadate the patients medical needs),
ive got a little first aid training as i often visit veterans homes and deal with elderly peoples, im also joint commission certified to work on medical equipment.
thats my city life.
im a big outdoor enthusiast, always been interested in surviving and prepping, im the go to guy when teotwawki hits (someone gets a splinter or cut while camping lol).
i love knives and have a few, but not enough, i have a few firearms and like to shoot regularly,
ive never been in the armed forces, missed my chance when i was young and dumb, but still have the utmost respect for all divisions.
fishing is my favorite summertime thing to do, i dont watch professional sports or support them(anyone paying some jackass to catch a ball and run around with it, should be shot in my opinion, money could be helping those that need it),
i have a wonderful(understanding of my lust for sharp metal), wife, 3 kids, and two trucks, one suv(its a jeep so no im not a yuppie lol).

im a smartass and keep things simple and honest. no need to bs around the bush.
im also a wealth of useless and wonderful info, and i stand true to my friends.
you can mess with me all you want but when its my wife or kids, god himself couldnt stop me.
