Ride the rails as a hobo, many thousands of people are doing this right now.

Make your way to the Great North Woods in Maine and find employment working off the books in a very small and remote community (small as in a few hundred people) where everybody knows everybody else.

Grow a full beard, wear the typical clothing of those around you, get a tan. Gain or loose a fair amount of weight depending upon what you weighed originally.

When strangers show up in town, everybody including you will know. There may only be one road leading into and out of town, and very few people, so there is no way they can blend in with a crowd!

$200 doesn't give me much to play with, but with my current resources, it will get me enough food to last for a bit and and I can get a loan of a pistol or two and a knife plus ammo and then I use what resources I can muster from the net, friends and whomever else I can and I go hunting, because I'm sorry, I don't run very good anymore and I truely do believe sometiimes the best defense is a good offense and if they have that much sophisticated equipment, my chances on the run are slim without my core resources at hand.

First challenge is taking out one of them captive and finding out as much as I can, didn't say it would be easy, but would be worth the try for me. Now to the bottom line, I'm on my home ground here, if I go on the run, were on nuetral ground, they obviously have more weapons, better equipment, more people, advantage them, home ground, I'm still down all the above, but it's home ground and I have resources to get a hold of here, I call that a 50/50 chance. I also look at home ground advantage is if I can take out enough of the bad folks, they might weigh their options if what I know or have is worth a lot of their lifes.

It's an option to weigh most definitely in my view.

I would hit a pawnshop and thrift stores to get any equipment I would need in the immediate future. Then it would be hidden money and get out of town by any means available. Rail, long haul drivers whatever I could arrange. I would go someplace I have never been, know no one there, have no ties whatsoever. The best thing I could do for my family is forget them. As bad as the opposition seems in this scenario, having anything to do with family is only placing them in Danger. I actually discussed this with Cutter/Dottie before we became members here.... some movie or something brought it up. She didn't like it but after my explanation she understood why. I would NEVER, ever contact them again. Want to disappear in your own town/city? Buy the oldest worst clothes you can find at a thrift store, smear some dirt on your face, pour some cheap wine on yourself and head to the nearest Homeless hang out. Do it right and your friends won't even recognize you.

Yup. As I stated, re-entering their old life is where people ALWAYS get caught. One way or another. With 'legit' organizations, they wait until contact is made, and they trace you down from that contact. For not-so-nice folks, like Mafia or Yakuza, or drug lords, etc., those kinds of organizations will likely torture and use someone's loved ones to get to them, playing on their relationships to lure them out. Once someone knew HOW to get ahold of you, and had that person tell you they were in trouble and the only way to save them was to come out of hiding, you may well be forced to do so (unless you are completely heartless, in which case those hostages are screwed!) against your will and better judgement. For their sake, NEVER contact them. If you don't get caught talking to THEM, THEY will undoubtably be caught and forced to talk. You can't control things on their end, but if they don't know anything, and your enemies can't prove otherwise, then there is no reason to mess with your loved ones. If you send a letter or make a call, it WILL be traced, and then you and your family/friends are in deep doo-doo. It sux for both of you, but hey, nothing in life is fair.

Agree with getting outfitted at the thrift store.Next stop some groceries to get me to my target area of ________. Would be the easiest place around here to survive.Sorry, I'm not going to tell you where that is. If the aggressors are that high tech that they could comb my computer and find this post. Almost forgot, check out coin-op laundromats for discarded bleach bottles/jugs, give 'em a gooood rinse and you have sterile water containers.

I would go to my home and native land, Canada. Take a bus. Sneaking in wouldn't be a problem, because it is the largest unprotected border in the world. Plus I am a citizen and I have family that I can go to. Some are harder to be found than others. After I get there I would get a job and try to find where these guys came from and do something about it or die trying. I will not live under a rock for the rest of my life. If the computer files are worth something I will use those as a weapon.

Personally, I'd hop a train to Baja and pay someone to bring me to Mexico. From there, illegally transport yourself to another country, preferably another continent, and preferably very out of the way, crowded, or with strained relations with the USA. IMHO, I'd go with Germany. Good food, good scenery (mostly), and I'm not sure about laws, but it seems like a decent place to lie low... or Kansas.
No one would look for me in Kansas
