Definetly. I have cases and cases of canned food including soups, stews, vegetables, fruits, pastas. A seperate freezer full of meats, bread, vegetables, a refrigerator/freezer full of meats, bread, vegetables. Always at least 10 gallons of water besides my well. Cases of ramen noodles, at least 5 boxes of cereal at any given time, 3-4 boxes of oatmeal, powdered milks. With just me and 6 year old daughter I suspect a good 3-4 months supply even without electricity or heat. I could run the fireplace to cook on and heat with along with my camping stoves. I have at least 6 oil lanterns, a night fishing lantern, couple headlamps, couple crank flashlights, extra batteries, bulbs, wood, fuel. |

| Uh Oh Martin, looks like you're up the creek without a paddle. LOL ![]() Well, my house has ten closets, two are walk-ins and only two of those are used for my clothes and they aren't the walk-ins. One bedroom is used for water storage only, plus my fifty gallon hot water heater. Already use my fireplace to cook when I get the urge, besides that have a gas range. One large freezer and freezer on fridge, plus fridge all stocked. Kerosene lamps and much fuel to use, plus large back up stash of candles when fuel runs out. Kitchen pantry and other closets are well contained. I could do it easily as I would be quarantined all by myself. |

I don't know... but with a forged doctor's note I would gladly take you up on that challenge ![]() With electricity and water it should be a breeze. I will admit tho that without water it would be impossible for me. Living in an apartment, I don't have the space to store enough water. Without electricity, again impossible. I only have enough food that doesn't require cooking to last about a month I figure.

Only six weeks? How many people can I invite for this month and a half long party? Even if they didn't allow me to go out and forage in the forest bordering my land, or take things out of my garden, harvest any of my grapes, berries, or orchard fruits, or take any game or my rabbits and chickens, I would currently be able to get by for about 6 or 7 YEARS, and that is if I had my gf, mom, son, and my brother with his wife and 2 kids, plus all of the pets over at the time of the quarantine. If you allow me to go into the yard and the border area along my property line where the woods begin, I could seriously stay in indefinitely. I have hand pumped water and a septic system. The only bug in the ointment for the moment would be power. If the main grid was still on and hooked up, no sweat, but I am still saving up for a battery bank and eventually some sort of independent power source like wind, solar, or both, so no power would definitely crimp my style a bit. Not insurmountable, but a little more rustic for sure.

I would feel sorry for the poor civil servant guarding the door. What a boring job. As long as you keep power in the mix I started thinking of all the movies I stocked up on for winter and plenty of old favorites to watch. I'm sure I could be on here more often. A quarantine could be a good way to catch up to CW....
