Default Fun in the Morning.

Started my Sunday Morning out with a rush, got a phone call from one of my officers asking if I could come and help catch a feral hog that was sitting in a yard over in a residential neighborhood, I thought, oh yah, an adrenaline rush early in the morning for this ole man LOL.

I arrived and it was a Javelina, about 50lbs, she made a mistake, still was fun trying to catch the booger, but not as much fun as fighting a feral hot with tusks. Oh well, we lost the little thing by the highway, it got down into a sewer culvert and we could see it heading away from us. He lives to run another day.

How was your day?

This is why I love reading posts on here. Such a wide wide range of experiences in life.
Guardian started his day by going out to try and deal with dangerous wild animals.
I started my day by going out to feed cattle sooooo tame you can scratch behind their ears.

Gotta love it.

Does this sort of thing happen often Guardian. I take it from your posts you are some for of Animal Control Officer....perhaps in your local Police Department?

More then we would like Rayzerm, were in Wichita Falls Texas in the middle of nowhere LOL, we get every kind of animal through here.

Yes, I'm retired Air Force, been doing Animal Control for the last 9 years, I'm now the Supervisor, we work out of the Health Department though, were lucky, were seperate from our Police Department in that aspect.

Poco - My Senior Officer has a Horse Rescue Operation she started, she loves those horses and is taking her love for them one step further.

Rayzerm - We deal with them a lot also, usually out in the middle of highway causing traffic to be backed up LOL.

Okay you get my curiosity up and going and then leave me hanging....What is her next step? BTW I have Paints. I probably need to get some pics up in an album here, sometime. I have a lady from Texas thinking about driving up to breed to my Stallion... we'll see. Oh In case anyone is wondering how I came up with my Username, this is the perfect opportunity to tell you. My username is my Stallions registered name, It's so unusual that I use it. I'm Practically Guaranteed to be able to use it on any forum or E-mail addy.

Sorry, what I meant is the Horse Rescue is the one step further, she's always had horses, she's gone one step further by starting a horse rescue. My apologies, I should have worded that differently to reflect that.

Thanks for the explaination of the Avatar, your right, I'm always having to change a letter or numbers or one thing or another, your right, you probably don't have a problem with yours.
