Hey snowshoe, you and your ex want to adopt a 60 year old man? Summers in Maine and winters in Florida? I'd love it.

On serious side, your kid is very lucky in this day and time to have two parents who both love and care for him. Keep up the excellent relationship, it shows in your posts.

snow your heart must be breaking (mine almost is for you). I can say he sounds like a great kid and he's an artisan to boot; I've got his woodburning skill/paddle work right here to prove it! you must be proud. you'll have to do video conferencing, I hear skype is quite slick and you can say good night in "person".

Sounds as though you have a great relationship. While it must be tough, before you know it the snow will be melting and he'll be back.

Hey friend,

Sorry you have to give him up for a few months but it sounds like you have a great relationship and that can travel the miles easy.

I can't tell you how great it is to hear a father not bagging his ex, and knowing how important it is to most kid's to have both parents in his/her life. Your son is lucky to have you and he sounds like a great kid. Keep your chin up and remember your sacrifice is for his good. Well done dad!!!!!!!
