Button Compass Comparison
20-mm is about the diameter of a penny.

Survival Topics offers two types of button compasses - dry compasses and liquid-filled compasses. Both types of compasses are excellent additions to your survival kit, backpack, or vehicle.
The advantage of liquid-filled compasses is that the compass needle is damped by fluid to protect against excessive swing or wobble, improving readability. Though a little more expensive than dry compasses, many people prefer liquid-filled compasses.
The 20-mm button compasses are about the same diameter as a US penny.
The 25-mm button compasses are about the same diameter as a US quarter.
