This is genuine 7-strand 550 paracord made to military specifications and used in parachutes. Don't be fooled by all the fake 550 paracord out there.
Tactically coiled, this 550 paracord will be there when you need it. Many thousands of uses from FireSteel Lanyards to fishing line, equipment repairs, shelter building and even suture material. Every survival kit should contain at least 50-feet of 550 paracord.
Note that although this 550 paracord is very strong, it is not designed to hold your body weight while repelling, etc. For these kinds of activities real climbing rope is needed.

This stuff is amazingly strong for its size. It's inner strands have dozens of uses, I recommend anyone get some of this.

I was not expecting this fast of shipment to start off with. I didn't get a tracking # with my confirmation email. I sent an email to Ron and he replied in a timely fashion! Wow what a relief in this time and day when the majority companies promise everything and deliver less, this company is what America is all about. I received my 550 PARACORD and was extremely impressed with how durable it is! I will do business again in the future with this company!

I bought three hanks from Ron and survival topics. I had already bought some similar sized cord from REI (which is a great store) but didn't realize the strength difference until compared to Ron's 550. The inner cores can be really useful from what I see and the price is very fair. I appreciate the fair prices, real info, and stress on safety. Thanks!!

I like the professional way this 550 paracord has been coiled by Ron. It fits perfectly in the left hand pouch of my backpack, snag-free and ready for use whenever needed.
Thank you Ron for showing me how to coil the paracord like this! Now that I know how I do the same for all my cords and ropes.

I bought some cheaper stuff from a company I won't mention. Compared to Ron's paracord this stuff was thin an had an odd feel to it. It just didn't feel dependable.
I was inspired to add some paracord to my survival kit after reading Ron's article on making fish traps from plastic bottles. A ten foot piece of paracord is enough to make a dozen of these traps and then some.
The trap is in the pond out back - and catching fish!
