These FireSteel scrapers (also called "FireSteel Strikers") are specially made for ease of use and production of great gobs of sparks when used with a FireSteel.com FireSteel.

This thing throws off insane sparks with my ferro rods, I've even used the sides with a flint to make sparks.

I use the top grove to clear off the veneer on the firesteels and the side ones to scrape. Works fantastic and it compact, weighs barely anything and is surprisingly rugged as I tried to bend it.

I always used the blade of my knife for scraping sparks off a firesteel, but now I prefer these firesteel scrapers.
I use the scraper instead and keep my knife blade sharp. The scraper is also easy to attach to the larger firesteels that have a lanyard hole punched in them.
