Read the bit on how to use a FireSteel on the main page. It will help if you are a n00b like me. Once I figured it out, I nearly set the cardboard box I was using to test in on fire.
I now have one in the BOB, one in the BOV and one in my EDC pack.
These also make great gifts for the hunter or camper in your family or circle of friends!

I used it for lighting a fire in the woodstove. These work great and are fun too.
