This is the giant Bunker FireSteel.com FireSteel inserted into a protective FireSteel Tube. The FireSteel inside measures 1/2 x 5-inches, enough FireSteel to light more fires than you can shake a stick at.

Unscrew the cap to reveal the firesteel. Reverse the cap and screw it back into the tube to create one heck of a handle!

One end of the tube contains a very fine 20-mm liquid filled button compass with luminous dial that has been carefully checked for accuracy.

The FireSteel Tube is specially made so that you can securely wrap appoximately 17-feet of high grade 550 parachute cord made to military specifications. This cord has 7 inner strands surrounded by an outer sheath and is rated with a minimum breaking strength of 550-pounds.  "550 paracord" has a thousand and one survival uses; from field expedient equipment fixes, fishing line and even dental floss.

Each FireSteel tube also has a genuine FireSteel.com FireSteel Super Scraper and lanyard consisting of nearly 3 feet of military spec 550 parachute cord. These famous FireSteel.com Super Scrapers have been proven to give ultra robust sparks when used on a FireSteel.
