Conjugal visits were not enough. May be disguised in sheeps clothing.

This just in and I thought it interested enough to share with my Survival Topics enthusiasts.

A pregnant 130-pound timber wolf and her 110-pound mate have escaped their cage and into the 1000-acre forest surrounding the town of Branson West, Missouri.

Predator World, an animal attraction that features predators including tigers, lions, alligators, bears, and canines, reported the wolf escapes last Thursday.

The two adult timber wolves were being kept in a quarantine pen. It is thought that the female timber wolf, detecting the presence of the numerous other predators lodged at the attraction, decided to find a safer place in which to have her cubs.

According to employees, the escaped wolves twisted the fence of the pen open as though it were made of spaghetti. Because timber wolves mate for life, the male is likely with the pregnant female as she seeks a safe place in which to have her litter.

Authorities say the timber wolves pose little risk to humans if left undisturbed. They were raised in captivity and do not prey on humans. The wolves will probably be able to catch mice, rabbits, and birds in order to survive.

Trappers and other searchers were actively looking for the escaped wolves until last Friday when the search was called off. It is hoped that once the timber wolves settle down they will be easier to capture.

Feeding stations with cameras and live traps have been installed in hopes of catching the couple and tranquilizers will be used if need be.
