Usually businesses plan for a loss of items such as buildings or power, but few have planned for the massive loss of manpower that a pandemic can cause. When half your workforce is out sick, and half the workforce in other businesses your business rely on is sick, you need to have had a survival plan in advance in order to continue.
When pandemics effect businesses, they need to be sure goods and services continue to flow. This requires co-operation between businesses to have a pandemic plan in place for mutual support.
This reminds me just how far reaching the effects of a pandemic are. Beside the obvious sicknesses and pandemic deaths, there could very well be a general disruption of the goods and services we need to survive.
Pandemics are scary things. If the farmers, truckers, emergency services workers, police, health care professionals etc are out with pandemic sickness, everyday articles could become difficult if not impossible to obtain. A very bad pandemic could very well lead to the break down of society as we know it.
Better sharpen your survival skills. The pandemic is coming, it is just a matter of when.
