Here is something I like to see. As a survival skills expert I enjoy passing on my knowledge and experience to the younger generations. That is one reason I founded Survival Topics. Because learning fundamental survival skills goes beyond the simple need to insure our survival. Learning outdoor survival skills makes one a better person.

A man named Dave Hall has had a similar idea, one which he has introduced to the school system. Dave Hall's after school survival program that I would like to introduce is called Primitive Pursuits. Primitive Pursuits has been teaching children bushcraft skills and the awareness of nature that comes with that since 1998.

The more time a young person spends outdoors learning to respect nature, the better that person becomes in all aspects of life. And to me there is no better way to learn about nature than learning how to survive and even prosper in the wild while relying upon only yourself.

When a person learns new survival skills, like how to make a fire, what plants are good to eat, and how to build a shelter, they become empowered. That translates in a positive way to other areas of their lives. This confidence boost can be just what a person needs to jumpstart their desire to better themselves.

Dave Hall is the founder of Primitive Pursuits, which teaches children the survival skills they need to live outdoors. But it goes beyond that. The Primitive Pursuit program imbues its participants with respect for nature, themselves, and their fellow man.

For information about Primitive Pursuits call Dave Hall at (607) 272-2292 and tell him you heard about it on SurvivalTopics.com.

The Primitive Pursuits web site can be seen at PrimitivePursuits.net. Unfortunately at this time only the Primative Pursuits home page is up.

I highly recommend Primitive Pursuits, they have an excellent survival school. Learned some good survival skills at that place.
